What I’ve Done.

I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania in 2006. I had a strong interest in marketing and the internet which sparked an advertising career immediately out of college.

I quickly found out that advertising was not something I could be passionate about, and as a result, bounced around for the next few years into different careers trying to find my place. I went from advertising to sales to customer service to hospitality, and never really found my place. After some self reflection and motivation from some mentor-type people in my life, I found an opportunity in project management and controls in the energy industry.

During my time in energy and utilities, I’ve been part of management teams for projects in nuclear power generation, coal power generation, transmission and substation, and distribution. Primarily, my role in each project team has been managing the cost, schedule and earned value in support of the project manager. Scheduling has been done in Oracle’s Primavera P6 program which is as close to an industry standard as I believe there is. I’ve helped with projects in Pennsylvania, Minnesota, Kansas, West Virginia, Ohio, and elsewhere.

My experience with planning, executing, monitoring and controlling projects has allowed me to gain an understanding of project management in a way that I believe can be applied to almost any endeavor. I am available as a consultant to help manage projects in multiple industries, not just energy and construction.

For me, the Project Management Institute’s standards of project management are an easy to follow set of rules for any project in any industry and I’d love to help projects be successful and add a new perspective to the management of projects.
